something I dont recommend

I dont recommend driving with a pen in your pocket, unless you take it out of your pocket before you exit the car. I have your wellbeing in mind, I'm just looking out for ya, thats all. lol. You're probably wondering why I say this, well, I'll tell you that I have first hand knowledge that if you drive with a pen in your pocket, and you try to exit the vehicle, it will only stab your leg! not a nice feeling, I promise. haha

I'm soooo using the point system when I have kids! Level one-very little privileges; level two-more privileges but a time limit would be set in place; level three-no restrictions, and no time limits. I say this because it works wonders at the group home--and everywhere else I've worked--and "points" mean something to these kids. Like, for instance, it takes one of our kids, who is 8 years old, about 20 minutes to even start her evening routine; brush teeth, get showered, get ready for bed, etc. and she almost always ends up crying because she doesnt want to do it. now, everybody strives to be on level 3 because, well, its cool, and if it takes her longer than I think it should, I will tell her that she's losing points and that if she doesnt get in the shower then she'll be dropped a level. I'm only joking, but she doesnt know that, so it works wonders! and then in the morning, for hte morning routine, one must clean their room along with a few other morning chores. It takes the 8 year old about an hour to do five minutes of clean up because she'll tantrum and cry and throw herself around, but will eventually do it if she wants to gain any privileges--such as TV time or game time. the 8 year old, is my favorite.

I took the 8 year old and one of the other kids to Joker's the other night. and I had michelle meet me there, but we had to be discreet about it cuz staff arent allowed to meet up with people. it was fun, I felt like I was doing something wrong.

finally organized the living room and our bedroom and cleared out all the empty boxes! now the only rooms I have to organize are the spare bedroom and the bathroom. The bathroom isnt that bad, I just need to touch it up really. The spare bedroom though, will probably be my last project since its a mess! I'm not really sure what to do with it.

oh! meeshy and I ordered our rings yesterday, and we'll be able to pick them up mid august. Its all kinda scary I think, since the rings signify a deeper commitment. I'm so ready for it, but since its new territory, I think I'm kinda scared too. can you believe it, we'll have been together for two years in August. oh, and we're thinking of fostering kittens, then we'll work our way up to kids. haha. anyway, gotta go!
