a few years ago I was in a car accident, one that actually totalled my car but I was relatively unharmed. rock on. I dont want to be one of those people who says I have a back injury, but sadly, tonight, I'm going to admit that I do still have the injury. call it being too stubborn to want to get it fixed--or even checked out. Usually I dont have a problem with it, but, tonight, its being aggravated because I'm sitting down for a crazy amount of hours in rather uncomfortable chairs. You see, I'm working a 12 hour overnight tonight....did the same last night too. I'm only really complaining now because I cannot relieve the tension no matter what back-bending positions I try to put myself in. have you ever tried to do "the running man" in a standing position, and then change that position suddenly to that infamous "football pose" while walking? I caution you, if you have never tried it, dont do it in public because you'll look like a moron. I do it anyway, I dont care if I look like a moron as long as my back has temporary relief. haha.
I'm drinking coffee...with french vanilla cream....my favorite. *grin* Obviously tonight is boring, seeing how I'm writing in my journal. it might also be because I'm working on the childrens unit of the psychiatric hospital where its almost always uneventful. last night I was on the adult unit.....we had a psychotic patient run up and down the halls....Naked....while singing "I belive I can fly", flapping her arms the whole time. now that was eventful--even trying to catch her was a task in itself.
anyway....what are your plans for the holidays? that is, if you celebrate? I dont. I'm working xmas eve, then my plan for xmas day is to walk around in-town Portland and see how quiet it is. its rare the city is quiet, so that will be fun. fun for me anyway.
